For the city of Salzburg on of the most important factor is Mozart. The Sound of Music is another one. Salzburg sprang up under the protective watch of the fortress Hohensalzburg which towers atop the imposing Mönchsberg. Built between1077 an 1681 by the ruling archbishops, the Festung is now the largest totally preserved castle in Europe.

The Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport is a multifunctional building that houses a collection of historic aircraft, helicopters, Formula 1 racing cars and the restaurant Ikarus. It is runned by Red Bull.
